Series Project Draft 3

In this series i tried to capture the shadows of different abstract images. In my first series I was just looking at shadows that looked interesting. However in this series i was trying to find shadows that seemed as though they took place in this alternate world solely made up of shadows. i also tired to use very interesting angles when shooting pictures of the different shadows.

  1. Nice photos Josh. I like what you did with your last one. It really stands out from the others and I like the dramatic contrast of colors that frame the door. I also really like geometric style it creates as well. I would suggest to keep experimenting with new ideas, such as this one, to keep your series fresh and interesting.

  3. Great photos josh. I love how when you used leaves and trees as your shadows, it creates an interesting pattern and shape. To keep your photos interesting and original, keep photographing different objects and use different tones and filters in each photo.

  5. I think you did a really good job of capturing photos to create a world of shadows. I think your most successful photo is your last one. I like how it is very symmetrical.

  7. I love your series and idea of simply shadows, but I would offer that the shadows are more effective when they are gloomy and bazaar like your third photo. I think the shadows when you cannot see exactly what the object is, are the most thought provoking.

  8. I really love that last shot. It's well composed and the extreme contrast really has an abstract and mysterious feel to it. Overall, good work.

  9. This is a great third draft, Josh. I think you do a great job capturing shadows and lighting from interesting angles in order to convey a specific mood in every image. I really like the last image because it creates a very mysterious mood open for the viewers interpretation.

  10. Your last photo is the most successful, in my opinion. The contrast works really well here, and I like the way you've captured the light behind the door, rather than in front.
